You can tell. You can always tell.

You are three minutes in and the first phone comes out.

Then the second. Someone at the back checks the time. Two people near the door start a quiet conversation with each other. The energy in the room drops in a way you can feel on your skin, and you keep going, because what else are you going to do.

That is the version people notice. There is a quieter version that costs more.

The audiences stay small. The invitation to speak comes once and does not come again. You get through it fine, people say nice things afterwards, and nothing happens next. No calls. No clients. No second booking. You did everything you were told to do and the room simply did not stay with you.

People leave. Sometimes physically. Far more often, energetically.

And here is the part that makes it worse. You are not bad at this. You know your subject better than anyone in the room. You have done the work, you have the results, you have something worth saying.

It just is not landing. Yet.

It is not you. It is what you were taught.

Think about how you learned to give a talk.

You were told to write it out. Every word. Then to rehearse it until you could deliver it exactly as written. You were told that notes are fine, that cue cards are fine, that slides are basically obligatory. And underneath all of it sat the quietest lie in this entire industry: that some people are just born with it, and some people are not.

Every one of those instructions is working against you.

Start with the script. Written language and spoken language are not the same language. When you write, you produce sentences you would never say out loud, and would certainly never say that way. Then you stand up and try to perform them, and everyone in the room hears the seam. They cannot name it. They just know something is off.

It gets worse. Once you have memorised the words, your attention goes to the words. You are not with the audience anymore. You are inside your own head, tracking sentence structure, hunting for the next line, terrified of the gap. You are managing a document while a room full of human beings waits for you to be present with them.

Connection is what breaks. And connection was the whole point.

The notes and the slides are the same problem wearing a different coat. They are a rope you hold so you do not have to be fully there. The audience can see the rope.

As for born with it: after ten years and a thousand people, I can tell you exactly how many naturals I have taught.

All of them. Every single one of them. But none of them knew it until they did.

Something magical happens when you authentically deliver your message; it is called the Stage Effect.

The Stage Effect is the magnetic attraction created when a person stands at risk in front of an audience or a camera, makes them feel something, changes them, and leaves them with something of value.

It is not charisma. Charisma is what people call it when they cannot explain it. The Stage Effect is a function of two things, and both of them are in your control.

Stage Effect = the quality and value of your presentation × the size of your audience

Read that again, because it explains almost everything about who gets ahead in this business and who does not.

If your talk is weak, more audience does not help you. You just disappoint at scale. And if your talk is extraordinary but nobody is in the room, nothing happens either. The two multiply. Which is why Speaking Academy spends five days on the quality of what you deliver, and then teaches you how to get in front of far more people, far more often.

This is also why speaking is not a soft skill. It is leverage. It is the single fastest way to become findable, bookable, and trusted by people who have never met you.

Warren Buffett has said that learning to speak well can increase your value by fifty percent. He was being conservative.

Two speakers walk onto a stage.

The first one has everything. Every strategy, every technique, every trick the industry sells. Trained delivery. Practised gestures. Not one authentic or vulnerable moment in the entire talk.

The second one knows none of that. No polish. No formula. They simply stand up and tell you the truth.

Which one do you remember on the drive home?

Everyone knows the answer, and almost every speaking course on earth teaches the first speaker anyway. Strategy, tricks, tools, performance. Because those are easy to package.

Speaking Academy exists because the answer is not either of them. It is both, stacked, in the same person. And that requires three things at once.

One. Skills and strategies. Real craft. Structure, storytelling, timing, stagecraft, how to open, how to land, how to hold a room for thirty minutes or three days.

Two. Authentic connection. The part that gets skipped, because it is uncomfortable and it cannot be taught from a slide. This is the difference between a competent presentation and a speaker people cannot stop talking about.

Three. Learning cycles. Practice in real conditions, with real feedback, repeated until it changes. Not one turn at the front of the room on the final afternoon. Cycle after cycle after cycle, over five days, in front of people whose opinion you actually care about.

Anyone can teach the first one. A few good people teach the second.

Nobody else builds the third, because you cannot do it in a webinar and you cannot do it at scale. It needs a room, five days, a hard cap of fifty people, and a coach who is in that room the entire time.

Ahmed El Helaly

"As a public speaking trainer, I was already experienced. But after this program I delivered two sessions back to back, adapting stories and timing in real time, with no slides or cue cards."

Ahmed El Helaly · Public Speaking Professor, Giza, Egypt

Speaking Academy is built for

Coaches and consultants

Your income is downstream of how well you can be understood by a room.

CEOs and executives

You already have the authority. The question is whether the room feels it when you speak.

Entrepreneurs and founders

Every raise, every pitch, every all hands, every camera you stand in front of.

Authors, experts and aspiring speakers

You have something worth saying. Let us make it impossible to ignore.

In Five Transformative Days

Never use notes again.

Build a talk in an afternoon that would have taken you a month.

Wherever you are starting, this is where you finish.

If you can present, but only just.

You get through it. Voice a bit flat, eyes on your notes more than on the room, stories that never quite land the way they do when you tell them to a friend over dinner. You are competent and you are invisible.

By Friday you are delivering a talk that is animated, present and genuinely yours. It moves people. They remember it. Some of them will tell you about it a year later.

If you already speak, and something is off.

Your skills are rounded. You have done this for years. But you are still memorising, still tethered to slides, still reaching for one more fact when what the room needed was one more story. You are working far too hard for the result you are getting.

By Friday you can deliver thirty minutes, three hours or three days, without a page, and hold every one of them.

Two different starting lines. Same finish.

Jason Campbell

"I used to be one of the best in a small pond. Now I understand that I can be one of the best speakers in the world."

Jason Campbell · Educational Consultant and Public Speaker

Five days. Five stages. One speaker at the end of it.

Day One

The Foundation.

We take apart everything you were taught and rebuild the ground you stand on. This is where born with it dies, and where you find out what you are actually working with.

Day Two

The Structure.

How to design a talk that holds. Story architecture, sequencing, and the tools that let you build a presentation you can carry in your head instead of in your hand. Including an introduction to the Speech Map, Eric's method for mapping a talk as images and feelings rather than words.

Day Three

The Delivery.

Presence. Voice. The room. You will be on your feet constantly, in front of the room and in small groups, with feedback arriving faster than you are used to.

Day Four

The Breakthrough.

Speaking Academy Idol begins, and you stand in front of the entire room for real. This is the day technique stops being technique. Almost everybody can name the exact moment it happened to them.

Day Five

The Graduation.

Semi finals. Finals. Three judges. A live vote. And an evening you will still be describing to people next year.

On Thursday, this stops being a course. It gets real.

Speaking Academy Idol starts on Day Four.

Everybody prepares. Everybody stands up in front of the whole room and delivers. A panel of three judges gives real feedback, in public, and it is the most useful feedback most people have had in their professional lives.

Then the semi finals. Then, on Friday, the finals.

The champions are not chosen by us. They are chosen by a live vote of the room, the guests, and the people watching online. Two runners up, and one grand prize.

At least one finalist will be chosen to speak at Mindvalley U.

Not a certificate. Not a trophy. A stage, in front of one of the largest personal growth audiences in the world. In 2026, twelve were chosen.

Somebody is going to walk into a room in Tallinn in November having never spoken without notes in their life, and walk out five days later with a booking most professional speakers spend a decade chasing.

There is no reason that cannot be you.

Here is why the contest exists, and it is not for the drama.

You cannot learn to speak by being told how to speak. You learn it the way you learned everything else that matters, by doing it badly, getting told the truth about it, doing it again, and feeling the difference. That is a learning cycle. Most speaking training gives you one. We run them for five straight days and then put you on a stage with something real at stake, because pressure is the only thing that proves the skill is yours.

Vahan Yepreman

"When I came to Speaking Academy, I struggled with stage fright and wanted to develop the skills to comfortably express myself. Within five days everything changed. Several months later I was in Europe doing a speaking tour across six cities."

Let me talk you out of this first.

Do not come if:

  • You think you have already arrived
  • You are not coachable, and you know it
  • You are not willing to do the work, and there is a lot of it
  • You want a handful of tricks rather than a change in how you connect with people

That is not a filter for beginners. Some of the hardest people I have ever worked with came in highly skilled, and the reason it was hard is that skill can be a very comfortable place to hide. The ones who let go of it have the biggest breakthroughs I see.

Come if:

  • You have something worth saying and it is not landing the way it should
  • You are competent and stuck, still leaning on notes, slides, memorisation and facts
  • You want speaking to produce opportunity, not just applause
  • You would rather be genuinely engaging than technically perfect

Eric is an internationally recognized speaker, a successful founder, a best-selling author and he has shared the stage with Tony Robbins, Richard Branson and President Bill Clinton.

He has spent ten years teaching this program, and he teaches all five days himself. Not a keynote on the first morning and a wave goodbye. Every day, in the room, coaching every person in it.

Jacob Notlov

"Eric is the real deal. He is the same person on stage as he is off."

Fifty seats, and there is a reason for the number.

Speaking Academy caps at fifty people.

The reason is simple. Eric coaches every person in the room personally, and beyond fifty that stops being true. We also run a ratio of one team leader for every ten to fifteen attendees, which means you are getting individual attention for five days, not just during your turn at the front.

Maximum fifty people. Five days. One world class speaking coach. The world's most transformative speaking program.

Why Tallinn?

Speaking Academy moves. Stockholm was the first, and since then it has run in Miami, Oslo, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Calgary and Tallinn.

Tallinn is one of our favourites. It is one of the highest density startup and unicorn cities in Europe, it is beautiful in a way photographs undersell, and our team there is the best we work with anywhere.

It also means this is the only Tallinn Speaking Academy. Next year is somewhere else.

Getting here

Fly into Lennart Meri Tallinn Airport, TLL. Arrive on or before 22 November. We start on the morning of the 23rd and we start on time. There is a special event on the evening of the 27th that you will not want to miss, so plan to fly out on the morning of the 28th.

A word on the days

They are long. And you will be bonding and practicing with your team. Don't plan dinners out and stay at or close to the venue.

[Venue name to come]

Included

  • All five full days of live training with Eric
  • Morning coffee and tea, breakfast, lunch and snacks, with most dietary requirements covered including WILDFIT
  • Small group practice sessions throughout
  • Professional photography and headshot opportunities
  • Entry to Speaking Academy Idol, and a shot at the Mindvalley U stage
  • The final evening event

Not included

Dinner, travel and accommodation.

The most expensive version of this program is the one you take next year.

Almost nobody says no to Speaking Academy. I want you to understand that, because it is the single most useful thing I know about this decision.

People do not say no. They defer. The cost, the calendar, the flights. Next year is better.

Then they come next year, and at the end of the five days they find me, and they say some version of the same sentence every single time.

You were right. Now that I have experienced it, I wish I had done it last year. So much would have changed for me.

They are not talking about the course. They are talking about the year. The twelve months of talks they gave with notes in their hand. The rooms they did not hold. The bookings that never came back. The opportunities that went to someone with a worse business and a better talk.

This runs once a year. Nothing about that is a marketing decision.

In ten years, across seven cities and a thousand people, nobody has ever asked.

Questions, answered.

Is there a payment plan?
Yes. Four payments at every price. The first is taken at checkout and the final one is on 16 November 2026. Your registration must be fully paid before the event begins. Questions on alternative arrangements, email support@speakernation.com.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes. If the program does not exceed your expectations, you simply request and receive a full refund. In ten years, nobody has ever asked.
What is included?
All five days of live training with Eric, morning coffee and tea, breakfast, lunch and snacks, small group practice, professional photo and headshot opportunities, entry to Speaking Academy Idol, and the final evening event. Dinner, travel and accommodation are not included.
Which airport, and when should I arrive?
Lennart Meri Tallinn Airport, TLL. Arrive on or before 22 November. We begin on the morning of the 23rd. There is a special event on the evening of the 27th, so plan to fly out on the morning of the 28th.
Do I need to stay at the venue hotel?
We strongly recommend it, even if you live in Tallinn. The days are long and there will be evenings you spend practising with your group.
How many people are in the room?
Fifty, and that is a hard cap. It exists so Eric can coach every person personally. We also run one team leader for every ten to fifteen attendees.
Will I actually get time with Eric?
Yes. Eric personally coaches and provides feedback to every participant.
What are the training hours?
Full days with practice sessions extending into the evenings. Please do not book any personal time during the event. It is a powerful immersive experience.
What should I wear?
Comfortable business casual. Bring one outfit you feel good in for the final evening, and remember there are professional photographs.
I am already an experienced speaker. Is this too basic?
No, and experienced speakers are some of our most rewarding attendees. The work goes exactly where your skill has been hiding something: memorisation, slide dependence, facts over story, and polish standing in for connection.
I have never spoken in public. Will I be out of my depth?
No. Roughly half of every room is in the same position, and the structure is built to take you from wherever you start. The finish line is the same for everyone.
Do I need to have a talk prepared before I arrive?
No. If you have some idea about your preferred topics or stories to tell it can be helpful, but not necessary.
Can I bring my partner or a friend?
To participate? Absolutely. Contact our team, as in early-bird sales we often have spousal or family discounts. Bringing a non-participant friend is okay, and nice for the finals, but you won't see much of them during the event.
What is Speaking Academy Idol?
Our speaking contest. It starts on Day Four, runs to semi finals and finals on Day Five, with a panel of three judges and a live vote from the room, guests and online spectators. Two runners up, and a grand prize of a speaking slot at Mindvalley U.
What is the Speech Map?
Eric's method for designing a talk as a mind map instead of a script. Topic at the centre, branches around it, each one carrying a story and the point it makes. It opens with the F15, the first fifteen, and closes with the L15, the landing. Images and feelings, never words. It is introduced at Speaking Academy and taught in depth in Eric's One Talk Workshop.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation notice is required 90 days before the first day of the event. Transfers to future events are permitted with at least 30 days notice. Transfers to another person are permitted with at least 10 days notice.
How do I become a better public speaker?
Not by simply learning a bunch of skills, tricks, techniques and strategies but, instead, by going through a transformative process that brings out your authentic connection with the audience, and then by practicing with effective feedback and mentorship. Speaking Academy will give you the equivalent of a year of experience in just 5 days.
Can public speaking be learned, or are people born with it?
This is hard to believe but: everyone is born with it, and then it is slowly squeezed out of many of us. Public speaking is less learned than it is released. Speaking Academy is the right combination of releasing the natural speaker that is inside you and the learning of powerful strategies for success.
How long does it take to get good at public speaking?
Most people improve slowly over years because they get very few real repetitions. Speaking Academy compresses a year of practice, feedback and iteration into five days, which is the entire reason it works.
